About one month ago, Guerrilla Media Collective launched an open call for testimonies from translators, to document people’s experiences in the modern translation industry.
I found the idea brilliant, so decided to contribute and write about an agency that shut me out, after years of successful collaboration, because I refused to do machine translation post-editing (MTPE).
Want to know why I proceeded this way, deliberately putting my professional relationship at risk, and how an agency I used to highly value went bad by embracing unethical practices? By "unethical practices", I mean charging their end clients for human translation while doing post-editing behind their back...
